In this nourishing 1-hour practice, we will prepare the body for rest with simple movement exercises and breathwork, and then rest into a 40-minute yoga nidra practice.
Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep” is a guided meditation designed to lead students into a deep state of relaxation. Students are encouraged to rest comfortably on their backs, taking a posture similar to savasana. Kari then guides students through incremental stages of body and sensation awareness and provides a grounding return for ease of awakening.
This is a perfect Friday night practice to de-stress from your week. No previous yoga experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.
Kari is trained and certified in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. She is known for her steady guidance and calming presence, and has been teaching both active and restorative styles of yoga for over ten years.
